Answers to the questions we are asked most often when planning a marquee for a wedding or event.
How far in advance should we book a marquee?
Popular wedding dates through the summer get booked up well over a year ahead, so we recommend booking as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. We can sometimes accommodate shorter notice outside peak season.
Do you need to see the site before we book?
Yes, we carry out a site survey before any booking is confirmed, checking ground conditions, access and any obstacles nearby. This is what stops problems turning up on the day itself.
What happens if the ground is wet?
We can fit a raised subfloor beneath the usual flooring if a site is likely to be soft, which keeps the marquee level and comfortable regardless of the weather beforehand. This is something we plan for during the site survey.
Can you supply everything for the day or just the marquee?
We can supply just the structure or a full package including furniture, lighting, flooring and bar equipment, depending on what you already have arranged. Most weddings use us for the whole fit out.
How long does installation take?
A small garden marquee can be built in a morning, while a larger wedding structure usually takes one to three days depending on size and any additional flooring or lighting required.
Do you work with our chosen caterer?
Yes, we work alongside most local catering companies regularly and can coordinate equipment orders directly with your caterer so nothing is duplicated or missed.
Can a marquee be heated?
Portable heating is available for cooler months or evening events and we can advise on how many units a structure of your size will need to stay comfortable.
What if it rains during our event?
Our marquees are fully weatherproofed and sides can be closed in quickly if the weather turns, so a wet forecast does not need to disrupt your day.
