How long does an MOT test take?
Most MOT tests take around forty five minutes to an hour, depending on how busy the test bay is that day. We will let you know when you book whether you need to wait or if it is easier to drop the car off and collect it later.
What happens if my car fails its MOT?
If your car fails, we will explain each advisory or failure in plain language and give you a clear quote for any work needed. You are under no obligation to have the repairs carried out with us and we offer a free retest within ten days if minor work brings the car up to standard.
How do I know when my car is due for a service?
We keep a record of every car we look after and will remind you when a service or MOT is coming up. You can also check your last service report, which sets out when the next one is recommended.
Can I wait at the garage while work is carried out?
Yes, our waiting area has seating, tea, coffee and free wifi for shorter jobs such as an MOT or interim service. For longer repairs we can arrange a courtesy car or a lift locally so you are not stuck waiting around.
Will having my car serviced by an independent garage affect my warranty?
No, servicing your car with an independent garage does not affect a manufacturer warranty as long as the correct service schedule is followed and genuine or quality equivalent parts are used. We keep a full digital record of every service in case you ever need to show proof.
Do you work on all makes and models?
Our technicians are trained across a wide range of makes and models, from everyday runabouts to older classics. If you are ever unsure whether we can help with a particular vehicle, give us a call before booking.
Do you offer courtesy cars?
Courtesy cars are available for longer jobs, subject to availability, so please let us know when booking if you are likely to need one. We can also arrange collection and drop off locally for smaller jobs.
How do I book an MOT or service?
You can book online through our website or over the phone, whichever suits you best. We will confirm your appointment and send a reminder nearer the time so it does not slip your mind.
