Funerals and bereavement support
Support for families arranging a funeral and ongoing pastoral care afterwards.
We work closely with local funeral directors to arrange services that reflect the person who has died, from a traditional funeral to a simpler service or a memorial held some time after a private burial or cremation.
Our clergy are available to meet with families before the service to talk about the person's life and to plan readings, music and any personal contributions from family and friends. There is no expectation that a family has attended church before.
Bereavement does not end with the funeral and we offer ongoing pastoral visits and a monthly bereavement group for anyone who would find it helpful to talk with others who understand what they are going through.
