About Example Community Sports Club

Example Community Sports Club has been part of local life since 1974, growing from a single men's football team into a club with sections for players of every age.

What started as a small group of friends playing on a rented pitch has grown into a club with junior sections, senior men's and women's teams, walking football and a busy social side. Throughout that growth the club has stayed focused on being genuinely open to anyone who wants to take part.

The club is run almost entirely by volunteers, from coaches and committee members to parents who help with matchday teas and fundraising. That volunteer effort keeps membership costs low and means the club can offer reduced rates for families and young people.

We work closely with local schools to introduce children to football and netball and with community groups supporting older residents to promote walking football as a gentle way to stay active and meet new people.

How we work

01

Open to everyone

Whatever someone's age, ability or experience, there is a way to get involved at the club.

02

Volunteer led

Coaches, committee members and helpers give their time freely to keep the club running.

03

Community first

The clubhouse and grounds are part of the wider community, not just the playing squads.

What our customers say

★★★★★

My son has been coming to junior training since he was six and the coaches know every single kid by name. It is exactly the kind of club you want your children involved with.

Walking football got me out of the house twice a week after my operation and I have made proper mates through it, not just training partners.

I only joined as a social member for the bar but I end up helping at every home match now. It is a proper community club, not just a football team.
