Example Pet Sitting & Dog Walking was set up to give local pet owners a genuinely reliable alternative to kennels and ad hoc favours from neighbours. Every walker and sitter on the team is insured, DBS checked and matched to pets they are experienced with.
The business started with a single dog walking round in Teignmouth and grew as word spread among local vets and dog trainers. Growth has always been kept in step with the size of the team, so no walker is ever managing more dogs or visits than they can properly care for.
We ask detailed questions before taking on a new client, covering temperament, medical needs, feeding routines and anything that might affect a walk or visit. That information is shared with the whole team, so cover staff are never working blind if your usual walker is away.
Licensing under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018 covers our boarding related services and every walker completes pet first aid training. We would rather turn down a booking that does not suit our capacity than take on more than the team can manage well.
