FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about walks and home visits.

Do you walk more than one dog at a time?

Yes, we offer small group walks of no more than four dogs, matched by size and temperament. If your dog prefers their own space we also offer solo walks, which many nervous or reactive dogs find easier.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Walks go ahead in most weather, though we shorten them in extreme heat or heavy storms and adjust the route to avoid flooded paths. Home visits for cats and small pets are unaffected by weather.

Are your walkers insured and DBS checked?

Yes, every walker and sitter on the team is fully insured and holds a current DBS check. We also complete pet first aid training as part of joining the team.

Can I meet my walker before booking?

Yes, we always arrange a free introductory visit first, so you can meet your regular walker and they can get to know your dog or pet before any paid visits begin.

Do you administer medication during home visits?

We can give oral medication, eye drops and similar routine treatment during home visits, following the instructions you leave us. Please discuss anything more involved with us before booking so we can confirm we are able to help.

How do I know a visit has happened?

You get a short update message after every walk or visit, including how your pet seemed and anything worth mentioning. For longer holiday cover we are happy to send photos too.

Can you look after pets other than dogs?

Yes, we regularly visit cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets at home, covering feeding, cleaning and company based on the routine you set out for us.

★★★★★
Our dog is reactive around other dogs and I was nervous about using a walker at all. They took the time to understand his triggers and he genuinely looks forward to his walks now.
