How an insurance claim works with us
A straightforward guide to what happens from your first call to collecting your repaired car.
- 1
You get in touch
Call or email us as soon as possible after the accident and we will talk through what has happened and what to do next. If your car is not driveable we can also arrange recovery to our workshop.
- 2
We assess the damage
One of our technicians examines the car and puts together a detailed estimate, including photographs where these are needed for your insurer. We will explain what work is likely to be involved before anything is agreed.
- 3
We contact your insurer
Where we work with your insurer directly, we send the estimate and photographs on your behalf and keep in contact as the claim progresses. This takes the paperwork off your hands and helps avoid delays caused by missing information.
- 4
Repairs are carried out
Once the claim is approved, we book the car in and carry out the repair using manufacturer approved methods, whether that is panel work, structural repair or a respray. We will keep you updated if the job is likely to take longer than expected.
- 5
Final checks are completed
Before your car is ready for collection, every repair is checked against the manufacturer's specification, covering panel gaps, alignment and paint finish. Nothing is signed off until it meets that standard.
- 6
You collect your car
We talk you through the work carried out when you collect the car and answer any questions you have. If you are paying through an insurer, any remaining arrangements such as an excess payment are handled at this point too.
