About Example Dog Grooming
Example Dog Grooming was started by a small team of qualified groomers who wanted a salon built around calm, unhurried appointments rather than a full diary. We still keep to that principle today.
The studio opened in Newton Abbot with a single grooming table and a simple idea: dogs groom better when they are not rushed. Word spread through local vets and rescue groups and the salon grew slowly from there rather than expanding too quickly.
Every groomer on the team holds a recognised grooming qualification and completes ongoing training in handling anxious or reactive dogs. We would rather turn away a booking that does not suit our pace than squeeze in an appointment that leaves a dog stressed.
We work closely with local vets when a dog has a skin condition, an injury or a temperament that needs extra care. If a groom is not right for a particular dog on a particular day, we will always say so rather than push on.
