Are your tutors DBS checked?
Yes. Every tutor is DBS checked before working with any pupil and sessions with under eighteens follow our safeguarding policy.
How do you choose which tutor works with my child?
We match on subject, exam board and personality, using a short conversation with you and, where useful, the pupil before the first session.
Do lessons happen in person or online?
Both. Most sessions run in person around Newton Abbot and Teignmouth, with online lessons available for families further afield or where that suits the pupil better.
How long is a typical session?
Most sessions run for an hour, though some subjects and exam preparation blocks work better at ninety minutes. We agree the length that suits your child before starting.
Can we book a single subject or several at once?
Either. Some families book one subject, others cover two or three at a time, particularly in the run up to exams.
Do you follow the school's exam board?
Yes. Tutors teach to the pupil's actual specification rather than a generic version of the subject, so the tutor will ask which exam board and tier your child is studying before the first session.
What if my child needs a different tutor after starting?
It happens occasionally and is not a problem. We will discuss what is not working and suggest another tutor from our team.
