About Example Music School
We are a team of instrumental and vocal teachers based in Totnes, teaching pupils of all ages across South Devon. Every teacher working with children is DBS checked.
Example Music School began as a single piano teacher working from a small room and has grown into a team covering piano, guitar, singing and several other instruments. We have deliberately kept a close relationship with every teacher on our books rather than growing into something less personal.
Safeguarding is taken seriously throughout the school. Every teacher who works with under eighteens is DBS checked and our policies cover everything from lesson supervision to how we handle any concerns raised by a parent or pupil.
We believe lessons should suit the pupil rather than the other way round, which is why we offer both exam focused and purely enjoyment based pathways. Some pupils work steadily through grades, others simply want to play music they love and both approaches are equally welcome here.
