Piano lessons
One to one piano tuition from first notes through to grade eight and beyond.
Piano is our most requested instrument and we have teachers who work well with complete beginners as well as pupils preparing for grade exams. Lessons are built around the pupil's own goals, whether that is passing grades, playing for enjoyment or accompanying singing.
We use a mix of graded exam pieces and music the pupil actually wants to play, since motivation matters as much as technique, particularly with younger learners. Practice expectations are kept realistic and agreed with parents at the outset.
Lessons take place in our Totnes studio or in the pupil's home across the surrounding area, on whichever piano or keyboard the family has available.
