Guitar lessons

Guitar lessons cover acoustic and electric playing, with teachers able to work across classical technique, folk and contemporary styles depending on what the pupil wants to play. Most pupils start on whichever guitar they already own rather than needing to buy anything specific.

Early lessons focus on posture, basic chords and simple songs so pupils feel they are making music quickly, with theory introduced gradually alongside. Pupils working towards grade exams follow the relevant exam board syllabus.

We teach both individual lessons and small group sessions for friends or siblings who want to learn together, which often keeps younger pupils motivated.
