About Example Bike Shop
Example Bike Shop has been selling and repairing bikes from the same workshop since 2013, run by a small team who ride the local trails themselves.
The shop started as a one man workshop above a garage before moving into the current premises, built from a simple idea that a bike shop should be run by people who actually ride, not just sell. That focus on riding has shaped everything from the bikes we choose to stock to how we talk customers through a fit.
The workshop has grown to four qualified mechanics, but the way we work has stayed largely the same. Every bike sold is built and checked on site, every service is explained in plain terms and we would rather tell a customer a repair is not worth the cost than take the job anyway.
We see a wide mix of customers, from families doing the school run to riders training for long distance events on the trails around the moor and the coast path. Whatever the reason someone comes through the door, the aim is the same: a bike that fits properly and keeps running well.
What you can expect from us
Riders, not just sellers
Everyone on the team rides regularly, so advice comes from experience rather than a spec sheet.
Honest about repairs
We tell customers when a repair is not worth the cost of the part, even if it means a smaller job.
Fit included, always
Every bike we sell comes with a proper fitting session, not just a quick adjustment at the till.
