FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Answers to some of the questions we are asked most often in the shop.

Do I need to book a service in advance?

For a full service we recommend booking a few days ahead, especially during busier months. Basic repairs such as punctures or brake adjustments can often be done while you wait if the shop is quiet.

Will you work on a bike I did not buy from you?

Yes, we service and repair bikes of all makes and do not charge extra simply because a bike was bought elsewhere.

How long does a full service take?

Most full services take a few days, though this can vary depending on parts availability. We will always give an estimate when you drop the bike off.

Do you offer a bike fit if I did not buy my bike here?

Yes, fitting sessions are available as a standalone service for anyone wanting a second opinion on their position, whether the bike was bought here or elsewhere.

Can you order a specific bike or part if you do not have it in stock?

In most cases yes. Let us know what you are after and we will check availability and give you a realistic timeframe.

Do children's bikes get a proper fit too?

Yes, we adjust saddle height and reach for younger riders in the same way as for adults and we are happy to check the fit again as a child grows.

What should I bring my bike in for before a long ride or event?

A basic check covering brakes, gears and tyre pressure is usually enough for peace of mind. For anything longer or more demanding we would suggest a full service beforehand.

What our customers say

★★★★★

They spent nearly an hour making sure my new bike actually fitted me properly, not just handing it over. My back pain on longer rides has completely gone.

Honest is the word I would use. They could have sold me a new wheel but rebuilt my old one instead and it cost me a fraction of the price.

Took my kids bikes in for a check before the summer holidays and they sorted everything same day. Really good with children too, explained what they were doing.
