Answers to the questions we are asked most often about boarding with us.
Do you need to see vaccination records?
Yes, we ask for up to date vaccination records for every dog and cat before a stay begins. Please bring these with you on drop off day or send a copy in advance if that is easier.
Can you give medication during a stay?
Yes, we give medication exactly as instructed by your vet, whether that is tablets, injections or a specific diet. We keep a written log of every dose given, which you can see at collection.
Are dogs and cats kept apart?
Yes, our kennels and cattery are entirely separate buildings, so cats are never within sight or earshot of the dogs. Each species has its own dedicated staff routine as well.
Can two dogs share a kennel suite?
Bonded dogs from the same household can share an adjoining kennel suite with a connecting gate. We assess this at booking based on the dogs involved rather than offering it as standard for every pair.
What happens if my pet needs a vet while boarding?
We have an arrangement with a local vet practice for anything that comes up during a stay and will always contact you or your emergency contact first wherever possible. Ongoing conditions are managed following your own vet's instructions.
Do you offer a settling in visit before the first stay?
Yes, we recommend a free settling in visit ahead of a first booking, particularly for nervous dogs or cats. It gives your pet a chance to see the kennels or cattery without the pressure of an actual stay.
How is my pet exercised during their stay?
Dogs are exercised in our securely fenced paddocks at least twice a day, with additional play sessions for dogs who need more stimulation. Cats have access to their pen's private outdoor run whenever they choose to use it.
