Coasteering
Scrambling, swimming and jumping along a stretch of rocky coastline under close instructor supervision.
Coasteering combines scrambling over rocks, swimming in open water and jumping from ledges of varying height, all along a stretch of coastline we know well and check regularly for conditions. It is more physical than kayaking and suits guests who want something a little more adventurous.
Every jump is optional and instructors assess each one on the day, ruling anything out if the swell or tide makes it unsuitable. Wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids are provided and instructors talk the group through each section of coastline before entering the water.
Sessions are aimed at guests aged ten and over who are reasonably confident swimmers and we ask about any relevant medical conditions during booking so instructors can plan accordingly. Most sessions last around two hours, including the walk to and from the entry point.
