Autumn weddings are often overlooked, but the light can be some of the best of the year. This couple married in Totnes in early November, with the ceremony held in a hall overlooking the river.
We used the hour after the ceremony to walk down to the riverbank while the leaves were still turning, catching the last of the afternoon light before it dropped away completely. The couple had chosen deep burgundy and copper tones throughout, which suited the season perfectly.
Indoor candlelight took over for the evening reception, giving the second half of the gallery a completely different feel to the first. It is one of our favourite weddings for the change in light alone.
