Not every wedding needs a marquee or a big guest list. This couple married at the registry office in Newton Abbot on a Tuesday lunchtime, with eight family members watching from the front row.
The ceremony itself lasted about twenty minutes and we photographed the small formal moments outside on the steps before everyone walked together to a nearby pub for lunch. There was no formal photo list, just an afternoon spent with people they loved.
It was a good reminder that a wedding day does not need to be large to be properly documented. The couple ended up with a gallery that felt more like a family story than a set of formal portraits.
