This couple wanted to marry with just two witnesses present, somewhere with a proper sea view. We met early on a clear September morning at a spot along the coast path above Dartmouth, before the walkers were out.
The registrar read the ceremony with the estuary spread out behind her and the whole thing was over inside ten minutes. Afterwards we walked the coast path for another hour, stopping wherever the light and the view lined up.
The couple later said the smaller scale meant they actually remembered the day itself, rather than a blur of managing guests. They had a proper celebration with family the following weekend instead.
