The bride grew up on the farm where this wedding took place, so the marquee went up in a field she had known her whole life. The ceremony itself was held a short walk away, under an oak tree the couple had chosen months earlier.
We photographed the guests arriving across the field before the marquee lining came into its own once the light dropped, with the whole structure glowing from inside. The father of the bride gave a speech that had most of the room in tears.
Because the venue was so personal to the family, a lot of the gallery focused on quieter details: the farmhouse kitchen where the bride got ready and her grandmother's ring being carried down the aisle by a young cousin.
