How a bespoke commission works

From first conversation to a finished piece, here is what to expect when you commission a ring or piece of jewellery with us.

    Initial consultation

    We meet in a private appointment to talk through budget, style and any stones you already have. This is a relaxed conversation rather than a sales pitch, with no obligation to commit at this stage.

    Design and sketch

    We put together a sketch or reference image showing the setting and stone options discussed. Adjustments are made until the design feels right before anything is ordered.

  3. 3

    Sourcing stones and metal

    Once the design is agreed we source certified stones and the chosen metal or work with a stone you already own. Every stone is checked before it goes into a setting.

  4. 4

    Making the piece

    The piece is made by hand in our workshop, usually taking six to eight weeks depending on complexity. We are happy to share progress photographs along the way.

  5. 5

    Fitting and finishing

    The finished piece is cleaned, checked and fitted in a final appointment. Any small adjustments are made there and then before it goes home with you.
