Most repairs are carried out in the workshop behind the shop, so you can often bring a piece in and get a straightforward job done the same day. Ring resizing, clasp replacement, chain repairs and re-tipping worn prongs are among the jobs we see most often.
More involved work, such as restoring an old or damaged piece, rebuilding a broken setting or matching an antique finish, takes longer and we will always give an honest estimate of time before starting. We photograph pieces before and after significant repairs so you can see exactly what has been done.
Sentimental pieces, including inherited jewellery that has been damaged or altered over the years, are treated with particular care and we are happy to talk through options for restoring something close to its original form rather than simply melting it down and starting again.
