Whether you need a valuation for insurance purposes, probate or simply to understand what a piece is worth, we offer a private appointment with a qualified valuer rather than a quick counter assessment. Each piece is examined, weighed and, where relevant, the stones assessed under magnification.
Insurance valuations are provided as a written document with photographs, suitable for most insurers and we recommend having jewellery revalued roughly every few years as prices and styles change. Probate valuations follow a slightly different format and we can advise on what is usually required.
If you are considering selling a piece rather than insuring it, we can give an honest view of its likely value and explain the difference between insurance replacement value and a realistic sale price, which are often quite different figures.
