The quiet corner cattery pen is positioned at the far end of the cattery, away from the more frequently visited pens. It suits cats who become withdrawn or anxious with too much passing activity nearby.
Bedding is kept low and easily accessible, which helps senior cats or those with joint stiffness avoid unnecessary jumping. Handling in this pen is kept to a minimum and on the cat's own terms, rather than a fixed routine.
We often place elderly cats, those recovering from illness or particularly nervous cats in this pen, regardless of how busy the rest of the cattery is. Medication is given exactly as instructed by the owner's vet.
