Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most often about booking and staying in one of our cottages.
What time can we check in and when do we need to leave?
Check in is usually from 4pm and check out by 10am, though this can vary slightly between cottages. Your booking confirmation will show the exact times for your property.
Is bedding and towels included?
Yes, beds are made up with fresh linen before you arrive and towels are provided for every guest. You will just need to bring your own beach towels if you plan to swim.
Can we bring our dog?
A good number of our cottages welcome dogs, usually up to two per booking and this is marked clearly on each listing. There is a small additional charge to cover the extra cleaning a pet friendly stay involves.
Is parking included?
Most cottages have private parking, though a handful in busier town centres rely on a permit for a nearby car park instead. We note the parking arrangement on every cottage page so there are no surprises.
What happens if something goes wrong during our stay?
A member of our team is on call throughout your stay and can usually reach you within the hour. We would rather sort a problem quickly than leave you waiting on the telephone.
Do the cottages have wifi?
The great majority of our cottages have wifi included, though speeds vary depending on how rural the location is. We list this on each cottage page so you know what to expect before booking.
Can we book for just two or three nights?
Many of our cottages take short breaks, particularly outside the main summer months, usually running from Friday to Monday or Monday to Thursday. We will always tell you plainly if a property is only available for full weeks during busy periods.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are set out clearly at the time of booking and vary slightly depending on how far ahead you cancel. Please get in touch with our office if your plans change and we will talk you through the options.
