This Exeter terrace had never been rewired since it was built and the owners had been living with sockets that only worked intermittently and a fuse box that was well past its useful life. With three floors and a family living in the property throughout, the work needed careful planning.
We agreed a room by room schedule with the family, starting with the least used rooms and working through to the kitchen and living areas last. Each phase included chasing in new cabling, fitting new sockets and switches in sensible positions and making good the plaster.
The finished installation was tested and certified, giving the family peace of mind and a clear paper trail for any future sale. They told us afterwards that they had forgotten what it was like to have sockets that just worked.
